It took two shoplifting suspects just minutes to steal $6,309.50 worth of clothing items from a Smithfield business.
Saturday afternoon around 5:20pm, Smithfield Police said two suspects walked into the Tommy Hilfiger store at 1209 Outlet Center Drive. Once inside they placed dozens of items inside shopping bags then fled.
The business reported 65 t-shirts, 60 polo shirts, 24 sweaters and 10 rugby shirts were stolen by the two thieves.
Police Chief Keith Powell said the incident remains under investigation.
