SMITHFIELD – Police are searching for four suspects wanted for shoplifting. On July 13 around 6:20pm, Smithfield Police responded to Pro Image Sports Outlet at 1025 Outlet Center Drive.
An employee told police 70 assorted team jerseys valued at $2,794.30 had been stolen. Police said four males entered the store and began looking at merchandise. One of the males asked to see a jersey that was hanging at the rear of the store.
While the employee was retrieving the jersey, the males grabbed the jerseys off the front display racks and fled from the store. The suspects left the area in a gray or silver Ford Explorer. All the suspects were wearing masks.
