Deputies are trying to determine if a shooting incident at a Selma-area home Thursday was accidental or intentional.
Around 1:00am a homeowner, who is an employee of Central Prison in Raleigh, was awakened by the sound of gunfire but he did not investigate the noise. Around 8:00am when he got out of bed, he discovered a bullet hole in his home which is located on Thorne Road in Selma. The projectile had entered through his bedroom window and damaged an interior wall.
Authorities believe at least three shots were fired. Luckily no injuries were reported.
