FOUR OAKS – A 26 year-old Smithfield man is facing several charges after wrecking his car on Highway 701 South at Heath Road. The collision was reported at 3:40am Sunday.
According to the State Highway Patrol, Kadeem Jamal Jackson was traveling on Heath Road and failed to stop for a stop sign at Highway 701. The 2013 Chevrolet struck a ditch then went through a fence at Twigg’s Auto Sales Inc. at 895 Highway 701. The Chevrolet then struck a parked 2002 Lexus inside the fence.
Jackson was charged with driving while impaired, driving on a revoked license, reckless driving, a stop sign violation and seat belt violation. Jackson, the only occupant in the car, was not injured.
Damage to the fence was estimated at $7,500. Damage to the Lexus was estimated at $10,000 and damage to the Chevrolet $5,000.

The Four Oaks Fire Department, Four Oaks EMS, Four Oaks Police Department and Johnston County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
