Slick Roads Blamed For Numerous Accidents

JOHNSTON COUNTY – The State Highway Patrol has responded to dozens of traffic accidents since Tuesday night after snow coated area roadways.

This morning (Wednesday), one driver had just left home when she ran off Norris Road near Clayton and collided with a power pole causing the pole to break.

The driver was evaluated at the scene by Johnston County EMS but declined transport to the hospital.

Duke Energy responded to replaced the broken pole. Only a limited number of homes were impacted by the power outage.
