Smithfield Child Published In National Magazine

The November 2017 issue of Highlights published a drawing from 10-year-old Aubrey Hairr of Smithfield in its “You’re the Cover Artist” section. Aubrey, the daughter of Charles and Shanda Hairr, is a fifth grader at Liberty Christian School. She enjoys reading and playing violin. Aubrey wants to be a pediatrician when she grows up.

Aubrey was one of only 42 children chosen for the November 2017 issue.  By showcasing a representative sample of all the work, Highlights hopes to foster children’s creativity.
