You have to wonder who would break into a church. That’s what Smithfield Police are trying to determine. A burglar alarm apparently scared away intruders at the First Missionary Baptist Church on Caswell Street in Downtown Smithfield.
Police responded to a burglar alarm at the church around 12:40am Monday. When they arrived they discovered a window had been broken out.
No items were reported missing. Anyone with information about the break-in at First Missionary Baptist Church is asked to call Smithfield Police at 919-934-2121.
