Smithfield Crash Injures At Least 3 People

SMITHFIELD – At least three people were injured in a two car collision on North Brightleaf Boulevard (US 301) at North Street in Smithfield. The accident was reported around 3:25pm today (Tuesday).

The Smithfield Fire Department had to use extrication tools to remove the door to one vehicle to free a passenger entrapped in the wreckage. Johnston County EMS transported the injured to the hospital.

Smithfield Police are investigating the accident.
