Smithfield Litter Sweep Rescheduled For May 18th
The Town of Smithfield announced today (Tuesday) their annual Litter Sweep which was postponed on April 13th due to the weather has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 18th beginning at 7am at the following locations:
- Smithfield Community Park, 600 E. Booker Dairy Road
- Bob Wallace Jaycee Kiddie Park, 350 S. Front Street
- Smith-Collins Park, 909 E. Lee Street
- Gertrude B. Johnson Park, 1222 W. Market Street
Litter Sweep provides an opportunity for civic groups, businesses, schools, churches, professional organizations, families and others to volunteer in keeping Smithfield clean and beautiful. All necessary cleanup supplies will be provided on the day of the event.
