Southern Johnston County Break-Ins Could Be Connected

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is not ruling out three residential break-ins reported Monday afternoon could be connected.

Around 12:45pm, deputies responded to the first break-in in the 3100 block of Holly Grove Road outside of Benson. The victim discovered their home had been forcibly entered and three firearms and an Apple Mac Book were stolen. The property was valued at $1,350.

About 10 minutes later, another resident in the 3100 block of Holly Grove Road discovered a break-in. Their home had also been forcibly entered and a laptop computer, class ring and a box of checks were stolen. The items were valued at $775.00

Around 5:00pm, a woman discovered her home in the 4000 block of Harper House Road in the Bentonville community south of Four Oaks has been burglarized.  A box of checks and a cordless drill were stolen. The items were valued at $125.  Deputies said there was forced entry into the home.

Detectives have been assigned to the break-ins.
