SMITHFIELD – The Smithfield Police Department received just over 50 masks this afternoon from Smithfield Selma High School. Angela Jenkins with the SSS Engineering Department and some of her students dropped off the masks to officers at the police station.
The masks were made on two 3-D printers at the school. It takes about two hours to make each mask. The school currently has two 3-D printers and are waiting on the delivery of two more.
The masks were donated on behalf of the SSS High School Robotics Boosters, SSS Engineering Lab and SSS Band Boosters.
