WILSON’S MILLS – Just after 7:00am Thursday, a three vehicle rear-end accident caused the drivers to be late for work but left them otherwise uninjured in the somewhat minor accident.
The driver of a black car, which was at the rear of the chain reaction accident, was approaching the stoplight on US 70 at Strickland Road, traveling westbound at slow speed, he said, when he struck the unsuspecting car in the middle. That car was pushed forwarded into the back of a North Carolina State Highway Patrol cruiser, which was stopped for a red light.
The Trooper involved was from Jones County and traveling through Johnston County to an assignment in Garner.
The accident was cleared in about 90 minutes.
Glad all persons were ok.
