Stein Appoints Johnston County Resident To State Geographic Information Council
RALEIGH, N.C. — Gov. Josh Stein has appointed Johnston County resident Joey T. Ennis to the North Carolina Geographic Information Coordinating Council.
He currently serves as chief information officer for the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, a position he has held since November 2025. According to the governor’s office, Ennis brings more than 20 years of public service experience and has focused on advancing digital capabilities across state government.
The North Carolina Geographic Information Coordinating Council helps coordinate geographic information systems, mapping and related technology initiatives among state and local agencies.
