Stolen Identity Used To Obtain Government Loan
PRINCETON – A Princeton woman says someone stole her identity to obtain a government loan. The 71 year-old victim said her name, social security number and address was used to fraudulently obtain a $38,300 loan from the US Small Business Administration (SBA).
The victim said she recently learned her identity had been stolen when a letter arrived in the mail asking her to make a payment on the loan. Authorities said it appears her identity was used in July 2020 to obtain an agricultural disaster loan.
Federal authorities are now investigating the case
