Stolen Property Recovered Near Selma

Authorities have recovered $7,000 in stolen property found in the backyard of a Selma area home.

Tuesday afternoon, detectives with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office located the stolen items behind a residence on Thorne Road.

A trencher recently stolen from Home Depot in Cumberland County was recovered along with a trencher trailer stolen from a Home Depot in Wake County.  Officers also found a concrete floor finisher they believe could be stolen. They are still trying to locate the owner of the finisher.

Detective Lt. Brian Murphy said the incident remains under investigation.
