A truck stolen from Guilford County was recovered during a traffic stop Sunday morning near Selma.
A Johnston County deputy conducted a traffic stop on US 301 just north of Selma on a 2011 Chevy Silverado and discovered the truck had been reported stolen. The driver, Ricky Lloyd Winford, 52, of Greensboro was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. Winford allegedly admitted to knowing the vehicle he was driving was stolen.
Winford was incarcerated in the Johnston County Jail under a $10,000 bond. The vehicle was towed until it could be returned to the owner.
