On Tuesday, the Johnston County School voted unanimously to reappoint Larry Strickland of Pine Level as Board Chairman in 2016. Dr. Peggy Smith nominated Strickland, which was seconded by Butler Hall.
“I thank you for this opportunity,” Strickland said during the school board meeting. “It is a privilege. I appreciate the opportunity to be able to serve another year.”
Afterwards, the board voted unanimously to reappoint Dorothy Johnson of Clayton as vice chairperson. “I have served as vice chair quite a few years,” Johnson said after the vote. “I feel I’ve done my job very well. I appreciate your vote and vote of confidence.”
