  1. Moral bankruptcy of these children is a direct correlation of the way the parent is. JCPS, you want to correct this? Get to the parent.

    • Agreed. This is on the student and parent. I would expel the student and let the family find another school to educate them.

      • Umm yes. Because if they have students willing to threaten an administrator what would they do to a fellow student.

          • Well, there in lies the problem with public schools, you can’t control the parents. In charter or private schools, they’ll kick the child out. In public schools all you can do a suspend the kid and you still have to deal with the parent.

    • Stop it…just stop it. It’s not the school system’s fault because a student feels their oats. That’s like blaming the airline or the pilot because you left your bag at home. Come on, people…public schools need your support right now, not your asinine attempt to blame them for all of society’s ills.

  2. But those kids are still here in Johnston County. They don’t go away if you underfund the system or send taxpayer dollars to private schools.

    • But kids who know how to behave and would like to receive a good education, perhaps, could receive a better chance not having to go to school with hoodlums

    • The EOG an EOCtest scores were re-normed after 2022 account for the Covid pandemic. The norms were lowered, so they would not show the drastic loss of learning during the school closure.

      • We apologize for whatever happened during your public school education to make you this way. Bless your heart.

  3. Didn’t 2 board members publicly threaten to fight one another on Monday? It’s no wonder the students act like this.

  4. This is is sad that children today have no respect for their elders! As an employee of the school system it can be so rewarding and challenging at times! I really do love my job and the students! I really do try to make a difference in their lives ! This is so heartbreaking to heard ! Social media and so much more has ruined our youth!
