A Cleveland High School student was cited for having marijuana in his possession while on school grounds last week.
The principal of the school notified the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office who responded to the school office.
The student, 18 year-old Jeffrey Salhoff of Clayton, was allegedly found to have 11 grams of marijuana concealed inside a Pringles potato chip can. Salhoff was also allegedly found to have a marijuana pipe in his possession at the school.
He was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession and released from custody pending an appearance in Johnston County District Court.
Johnston County Schools is also investigating the incident under their Code of Conduct Policy.
