Charges are pending following a serious accident involving four students from Corinth Holders High School. It happened around 2:30pm Tuesday at the entrance to the school on Applewhite Road.
Samuel Carlson, 17, was leaving campus in a Ford truck when he failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming burgundy car. Carlson, who was not wearing his seat belt, received minor cuts and bruises. A right front seat passenger, Nathan Cavanaugh, was also not wearing a seat belt. He received minor injuries.
A third passenger riding in the rear bed of the truck, Benjamin Vazquez Cardenas, 17, was ejected and was at last report in serious condition at Wake Medical Center.
The driver of the car, also a student at Corinth Holders, was not injured.
