Selma Middle students began celebrating the 150 year anniversary of their school’s township by competing in a poster competition.

In 2017, Selma will mark 150 years of township with scheduled celebrations each month.

Selma Middle students were given the opportunity to design a poster for the sesquicentennial event that will be featured throughout Selma during the 2017 calendar year.

Cash prizes were given to the first, second, and third place winners for their designs during the last week of school.

Sixth grade student Tajiya Davis won first place, eighth grade student Kania Navarro Garcia won second place, and sixth grade student Julius Jones won third place.
