The Smithfield Police Department and Public Works Department will be selling surplus vehicles and equipment online. The Smithfield Town Council approved a request by Police Chief Keith Powell and Public Works Director Lenny Branch to dispose of the property on the website GovDeals.com.
The Police Department will be selling three 2011 Dodge Chargers and two 2008 Chevrolet Impalas.
The Public Works Department received approval to sell five (1994-2008) Scag Turf Tiger mowers, a Scag mower, a 2001 Hustler Z mower, and a heavy duty tire changer.
Citizens wanting to bid on the property may visit GovDeals.com beginning on Monday, July 29th.
