Deputies need assistance identifying suspect
BENSON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance camera images from a Benson-area church in hopes someone will recognize a suspect or his vehicle. On November 12th around 12:30am, a silver or gray Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck occupied by two males pulled into the parking lot of the Berean Bible Church at 9185 Highway 50 North. The driver pulled into the wet grass at the church and drove in circles spinning the tires causing $500 in damage.
After damaging the lawn, the driver exited the truck in view of the security cameras and urinated on the asphalt driveway.
Deputies said this is the second incident where the grass lawn has been damaged at the Berean Bible Church.
