Suspect Charged With Stealing Items From Lowe’s Home Improvement

CLEVELAND COMMUNITY – A 65 year-old man has been charged with stealing items from a business.

October 8 around 11:58am, Johnston County deputies were called at Lowe’s Home Improvement on Cleveland Crossing Drive for a reported shoplifting incident.

Officers allege David Dwayne Davis of Cameron, NC placed vinyl siding, a pack of padlocks, and painters tape in a cart and pushed the items out of Lowe’s without paying.

Davis was arrested at the scene and charged with felony larceny and misdemeanor second degree trespassing.

He was transported to the Johnston County Detention Center and given a $20,000 secured bond. The stolen items, worth about $1,000, were recovered and returned to Lowe’s.
