A Johnston County Grand Jury has indicted a Harnett County man on several counts of attempted murder following a shooting near Four Oaks last year.

Shooting-Stricklands-Crossroads-2Andrew Ellis, 29, of Saturn Drive, Dunn was indicted on four counts of attempted murder, one count of discharging a weapon into occupied property causing serious bodily injury, and one count of discharging a weapon into occupied property.

Around 2:00 AM on October 25, 2015, a total of 5 people were shot at the nightclub located at 2339 Strickland’s Crossroads Road, off US 701 South.

Two of the victims were critically wounded. Three others suffered serious but non-life threatening wounds.

At the time of the shooting, investigators told WTSB News the incident appeared to have been gang related, and that shots rang out following a disturbance at the club.

Sheriff’s Detective Lt. M.J. Carson said this week the shooting remains under investigation and additional charges have not been ruled out.
