A Moore County man was stabbed at a Johnston County home Thursday night. The person who allegedly stabbed the victim claims it was self-defense.
Just before 9:00pm Johnston County sheriff’s deputies responded to an address in the 2000 block of Amelia Church Road near Clayton.
The stabbing victim was a former roommate of the assailant. The victim reportedly went to the address then left. A short time later, he allegedly returned to the home uninvited and entered the through an unlocked back door and pushed a female to the floor. During the fight with the current resident, the former roommate was stabbed.
The 32 year-old stabbing victim was treated at Johnston Medical Center in Clayton, according to Tammy Amaon, Public Information Officer with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. Amaon said two detectives responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the incident.
No decision had been made on Friday as to whether any charges would be filed.
