A Johnston County man is facing numerous criminal charges after being linked by detectives to car break-ins in western Johnston County. In late-February, the man is accused of using a house key he found in one of the vehicles to gain entry into the victim’s home while they slept.
Sheriff’s deputies got a break in the case last week when the suspect broke into a work van parked in the driveway of a home. A security camera captured the theft and authorities were able to identify 28 year-old Tyler Grey Olive of the 14000 block of Highway 210, Angier as a suspect.
Olive was arrested last Friday on 10 charges including first degree burglary, second degree burglary, breaking and entering motor vehicles, possession of stolen property and larceny.
