In recent weeks numerous counterfeit $100 bills have been passed at businesses in the Selma and Smithfield areas.
On Wednesday, Selma Police released a photo of a suspect wanted for questioning in connection with at least two incidents on January 6th.
Detective Sgt. J.M. Hughes said the suspect went to the Food Lion in Selma and passed a counterfeit $100 bill then passed another counterfeit $100 bill a short time later at the Family Dollar in Selma.
Anyone who has information about the identity of the woman in the surveillance photo is asked to contact Detective Hughes at the Selma Police Department at 919-965-8189. Callers with information can remain anonymous.
