PRINCETON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of car break-ins.
Approximately seven vehicles were entered in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 12 in the Lake View subdivision off US 70 in Princeton.
An unknown black male suspect entered vehicles on Water Mint Place, Fernbrook Circle, and Shoreline Drive.
Numerous items were taken including a handgun, cash, and sunglasses.
In one incident, the suspect entered a vehicle in a driveway, located a garage door opener, and used it to access the attached garage of a home while the family was asleep.
