Suspects Flee Scene After Car Strikes Business

JOHNSTON COUNTY — Authorities are searching for two individuals after a vehicle struck the side of a commercial building Sunday afternoon in the Cleveland community.
The incident happened around 1:33 p.m. when a car struck the side of the T-Mobile store at 5121 Veterans Parkway.

Witnesses told deputies two young males, possibly juveniles, jumped out of the vehicle and ran from the scene. As of the latest update, they had not been located.
Investigators said the vehicle had not been reported stolen, but the ignition appeared to have been hot-wired.

The crash caused minor damage to both the building and the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and North Carolina State Highway Patrol are continuing the investigation.
