FOUR OAKS – A fire that damaged a Four Oaks area home on Friday may have been intentionally set. Four Oaks and Elevation Fire Departments responded to the residence in the 3000 block of King Mill Road and extinguished a fire that had burned a section of the vinyl siding.
The owner told deputies no one was at home at the time of the fire. The owner told officers he believed the fire was intentionally set in two different locations. A torch lighter was also found near one of the locations where the fire began.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
