BENSON – An early morning fire destroyed a singlewide mobile home in southern Johnston County. The blaze was reported around 2:00am Wednesday in the 1900 block of Mamie Road outside of Benson.
Authorities said the fire appears to be suspicious. The mobile home, valued at $30,000, was a complete loss. No injuries were reported.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office are jointly investigating.
