SELMA – One person was injured in a single vehicle accident on US Highway 70 near Buffalo Road. The collision was reported around 5:00pm Wednesday.

A vehicle was traveling westbound when it ran off the roadway, traveled through a ditch, overturned, and slid backwards into a tree.

The driver was trapped in the car. The victim was extricated and transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Highway Patrol investigated the mishap. Selma Fire, Pine Level Fire, and Johnston County EMS also responded.
