Smithfield Police were able to quickly recover a stolen iPhone Wednesday night and make an arrest.
Officers were called to the Smithfield Recreation and Aquatics Center on Booker Dairy Road around 7:10pm after a 36 year-old Smithfield man reported someone had stolen his cell phone valued at $800.
The victim was able to activate a tracking device on the phone and police found the phone at an address on North 12th Street.
Kareem Joseph Khalik, 19, of Jewel Lane, Four Oaks was charged with possession of stolen property.
