Nineteen year-old Tattrell Keyonne Smith, of 714 Penn Rd in Raleigh, was arrested and charged Tuesday with attempting to extort drugs from someone.
Officers say Smith, who was illegally carrying a concealed weapon, threatened another man to give him marijuana, which Smith intended to sell.
Smith is charged with extortion, possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon.
He’ll have his first appearance before a judge this afternoon and bond will be set.
