Teen Linked To 15 Car Break-Ins

Cody-Thomas-Inman-mug-1Hours after a rash of car break-ins was reported at a McGee’s Crossroads area subdivision, a suspect in the case was in custody.

Monday morning, residents in the Parrish Farms Subdivision off Watson Road awoke to find their vehicles had been entered and property had been taken.  All 15 of the vehicles entered had been left unlocked authorities said.

A Johnston County Sheriff’s Office SAFE Team deputy was on patrol in the area Monday and conducted a routine traffic stop.  The officer located items inside the vehicle that had allegedly been stolen in some of the 15 break-ins.

Cody Thomas Inman, 19, of Mac Lane, Angier was charged with 24 offenses including 15 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, 7 counts of larceny, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Inman was taken before a magistrate and confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $106,000 bond pending a first appearance in court.
