CLAYTON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a teenager whose body was found in the roadway.
Around 2:26pm Monday, the sheriff’s office received a report of a female lying in the 300 block of Vinson Road off Southerland Road southeast of Clayton. Reports indicated she had possibly been run over by a vehicle.
Law enforcement and EMS arrived to find 18 year old Tebria Janee Frazier dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said callers reported the female may have been riding on top of an unknown white SUV prior to falling off and being run over. The incident is believed to be domestic related.
Captain Caldwell said the investigation is active and ongoing. No additional details are being released at this time.
