Teenager Injured In Overnight Shooting

SELMA – Selma Police are investigating a shooting that injured a teenager.  Police Chief Billy Thomas said officers responded to the Brotherhood Market at 300 S. Pollock Street around 11:30PM Tuesday and found 18 year-old Tyler Wolfe of Selma suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.

Johnston County EMS responded and treated Wolfe at the scene. He refused medical transport. Chief Thomas described the wound as minor.

Police said the shooting occurred elsewhere and Wolfe was driven to the store for help.

Chief Thomas said officers are currently searching for two persons of interest.  Police don’t believe the shooting was a random act.
