A teenager was shot and killed early Friday morning. Around 2:30am, Johnston County deputies responded to a 911 call at 125 Breland Drive, off Indian Camp Road, outside of Clayton.
Deputies found a 16 year-old male dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Another 16 year-old male juvenile who lived at the address was taken into custody at the scene without further incident. Detectives later secured a juvenile petition against the suspect charging him with murder.
Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said the investigation was still ongoing but no additional arrests are anticipated. A motive has not been disclosed.
The names of those involved was not released.
