Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats has announced charges against two people in connection with the shooting death of Kyle W. Jarrett of Lillington. The 28 year-old man was found dead on June 21st at his home on Arlie Lane.
Tuesday night, Harnett County deputies arrested Alma Isabel Correa Portillo, 17, of Foxfield Court, Angier. Portillo has been charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. She is being held in the Harnett County Detention Center without bond.
Warrants have been obtained for a second suspect, Jarell Donte Ballentine, 18, of Angier. At last report Ballentine was still at large. Once located he will be face the same charges as Portillo.
