Teens Robbed In Church Parking Lot

Two Johnston County teenagers said they were robbed in the parking lot a church.  The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident reported last Friday morning at the Brighter Hope Christian Fellowship on Slate Top Road.

The 16 year-olds reported they had gone to Wal-Mart then a convenience store and were headed home when one of the teens became sick and stopped in the church parking lot around 2:30am.

After stopping the teens said two suspects emerged from behind the church bus and robbed them of their wallets, cash, and a cell phone.

Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell told WTSB News on Wednesday investigators are following up on several leads in the case.
