Two Johnston County teenagers said they were beaten and robbed. It happened Thursday night in a parking lot on Bratton Drive off Highway 42 near I-40 in Cleveland.
Deputies responded to the call at 11:48pm. When they arrived they found the victims, both age 16, with blood on their hands and faces.
The teens said they were in the parking lot when they were attacked and beaten by a group of 4 to 5 unknown males. After being assaulted, one victim said he was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were displayed.
The victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has assigned detectives to the case.
