Terry Rose Files For District Court Judge

A local attorney has formally filed for a seat on the District Court bench.  Terry F. Rose filed for a seat in the 11th Judicial District, which covers Johnston, Harnett and Lee counties.

“As a lifelong resident of Johnston County, I have watched not only the counties of Johnston, Harnett and Lee grow and evolve but also the 11th Judicial District grow,” Rose said Tuesday.  “Of the 27 years I have been an attorney, 20 of those years I have had a law office in Johnston County and have practiced before the courts in the 11th Judicial District.”

“It is now with excitement and great pleasure that I announce my desire to serve the Counties of Johnston, Harnett and Lee as a District Court Judge for the 11th Judicial District.  I officially filed for a seat on the District Court Bench on December 2nd and look forward to the coming election in November 2020.”

Terry is the daughter of Gilbert and Lessie Rose.  She graduated from North Johnston High School and the Lenoir Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.  She completed her Undergraduate and Graduate School at East Carolina University. She also graduated from North Carolina Central Law School.

She opened her law office in Johnston County in 1999. Previously she practiced law in Catawba and Mecklenburg Counties from 1992 to 1999. Terry is a member of the Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church. She also served on the Board of Directors for Johnston Health.  She currently resides in eastern Johnston County between Smithfield and Pine Level.
