SMITHFIELD – Thieves targeted a Johnston County church. Someone broke into Galilee Baptist Church, at 2017 Galilee Road, near Smithfield.
The burglary happened between Friday night, July 19 and Saturday morning, July 20.
The suspect or suspects forced open an entry door. Two flat screen TV’s were stolen.
A crowbar believed to have been used to pry open the entry door was found on a table inside the church.
The stolen TV’s were valued at $700 each.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the break-in.
