A Princeton man went to visit the grave of his late-wife on Friday only to discover thieves had been there first.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) confirmed Monday they are investigating a theft from the Barbour’s Chapel Church cemetery, located on Barbour’s Chapel Church Road, off Black Creek Road, near Four Oaks.
Tammy Amaon, Public Information Officer for the JCSO, said deputies took a report Friday of two granite flower vases being stolen from the gravesite. The vases were valued at $750. There are no suspects in the case.
