Thieves Steal Over $30,000 In Property From Boy Scouts

FOUR OAKS – Thieves stole a total of $30,750 in equipment from Camp Tuscarora owned by the Boy Scouts in southern Johnston County.

A camp ranger discovered the break-in on July 29th at the facility at 965 Scout Road in the Bentonville community south of Four Oaks.  Someone forcibly entered a maintenance building and removed two SCAG brand zero turn mowers, a handheld leaf blower and a backpack leaf blower.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded and has assigned a detective to investigation.  At last report authorities did not have any suspects.
