ARCHER LODGE – A three-vehicle accident sent two people to the hospital Friday afternoon. The collision was reported on Buffalo Road near Archer Lodge.
A second minor incident occurred at the same location when a driver attempted to turn around at the crash scene but drove into a deep ditch instead. They had to be pulled out by a tow truck.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated the 3:00pm accident.
Buffalo Road was blocked for about an hour.
