All three Republican incumbents on the ballot for Johnston County Commissioner won reelection to their seats on Tuesday.
Chairman Ted Godwin of Selma defeated Wendy Ella May for the District 2 seat. Godwin received 65,551 votes (63%) and May 37,851 votes (37%) in unofficial results.
In District 4, incumbent Larry Wood won a second term in office. Wood received 65,789 votes (64%) o his opponent Alan Lamont who had 37,557 votes (36%).
In District 6, incumbent Tony Braswell of Pine Level easily won another four year term on the board. Braswell garnered 67,141 votes (64%). Dr. Gettys Cohen Jr. of Smithfield received 38,625 votes (36%) in unofficial results.
