Three People Caught Stealing Metal And Lumber, WCSO Says

WAYNE COUNTY – On Monday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) responded to a larceny in progress call in the Polly Watson area.

Deputies arrived and reportedly found a large amount of stolen metal and lumber loaded in a vehicle.

Three people were arrested including one person who tried to flee into a wooded area, but was captured with the assistance of a K9.

Brandon Godbey, age 31, of St. Mary’s Church Road, Lucama, was charged with two counts of felony larceny. Godbey was held under a $5,000 secured bond at the Wayne County Detention Center.

Taylor Dale Lucas, age, 34, of Little Rock Church Road, Lucama was charged with two counts of felony larceny, and possession of methamphetamine. Lucas was held without bond at the Wayne County Detention Center.

Heather Nicole Jett, age 25, of South Gardner Avenue, Kenly was charged with two counts of felony larceny. She was released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
