Three Search Warrants Executed, Two Arrests Made In Joint Investigation

SELMA – A joint investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) resulted in three search warrants and two arrests in 24 hours.

Agents said the search warrants stemmed from a December 6, 2024 break-in at Springhill Outfitters at 772 Seafood House Road. Around 1:51am that morning, several individuals forced their way into the business and stole an undisclosed number of firearms.

Thursday morning, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Star Team and Detective Division executed two search warrants in the Selma city limits, at 1213 Dixie Drive and 915 W. Waddell Street. They were assisted by Selma Police and ATF agents.

Jerell Isaiah Dunn, 18, of 1213 Dixie Drive, Selma was charged with multiple offenses including larceny of a firearm, possessing selling or buying a gun with an altered serial number, altering or removing a gun serial number, possession of a stolen firearm, breaking and entering, and larceny of a firearm.

Travion Daquan McCain, 19, of 915 W. Waddell Street, Selma was charged with multiple offenses including larceny of a firearm, possessing selling or buying a gun with an altered serial number, altering or removing a gun serial number, breaking and entering and felony conspiracy.

A third search warrant was executed this morning (Friday) at an undisclosed location.

Additional arrests are pending.

Unrelated Arrest For Threatening Officers
While law enforcement officers were serving the search warrant at 915 W. Waddell Street, officers said Ke Sheana Holder, 28, of Selma approached the scene and was belligerent.

Holder was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for communicating threats for allegedly threatening to kill sheriff’s office STAR team members while they were executing an unrelated narcotics search warrant two weeks earlier at a different location.

Holder reportedly had no connection to this investigation.

  1. GREAT Job to the JCSO, Selma PD and all other agencies involved. We thank you for making our streets a little safer. As far as the ones arrested, enjoy your new home you bunch of trash!

  2. Great job theres a lot more work to be done out there our officers have a dangerous tough job. I do not agree with calling people trash the above comment seems to be used often.

    • Not sure where you are getting your information from but crime hasn’t spiked since Jan 20th, criminals commit crime everyday regardless of who the president is. If you are worried about local crime stats the people you should be scrutinizing are local governments at the town, county and even state level.

    • Dems tend to be violent when they lose. History quiz: Every presidential assassination or even attempt was by a leftist. True story; Lincoln, McKinley, JFK, Reagan, and Trump. Look it up.

  3. Crime makes real estate values go down but the county says it is worth more. Remember to vote for smart people. That is the best way to dig out of a mess.

  4. Taught Travion in Middle School. He was a menace then, and his mom was a piece of work always blaming the school and teachers for his poor behavior.
